We at DEKKIT are passionate about synthetic decks, it is really important to us that any deck we supply is a deck to be proud of. We therefore offer a range of training courses to cater to everyone from the DIY enthusiast right through to the professional boat builder. We even offer training and assistance to those who would like to set up their own deck supply and installation business as well as those already in the marine industry who would like to profit from running their own agency fitting pre made deck panels supplied by ourselves.

DIY TRAINING 1 Day

We offer a basic one day course which covers everything you will need to know from pattern making and producing templates where necessary, to fabricating decking panels using various techniques, right the way through to gluing down and edge caulking. The course is straight forward and is intended to be an informative, enjoyable day which will fill you the participant with the confidence to tackle your own project. Please bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and Coffee is available free of charge throughout the day.

BOAT BUILDERS /AGENCY TRAINING 1Day

Aimed at those who would like to profit from the ever growing demand for synthetic deck installation, it can be an ideal add on to an existing marine based business or as a springboard to those who are considering starting their own full time deck supply and installation business, or boat builders/dealers who simply wish to fit their own pre made panels. This is an intensive one day course. The course covers everything you will need to know from pattern making and producing templates where necessary. It also covers gluing down pre made deck panels and edge caulking. The course is straight forward and is intended to be an informative, enjoyable day which will fill the participant with the confidence to tackle all skills required to pattern template and fit pre made panels or to operate your own deck installation agency. Please bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and Coffee is available free of charge throughout the day.

BOAT BUILDERS/BUSINESS START UP COURSE 1-5 Days (dependent on prior experience)

Aimed at boat builders and those who wish to set up and operate their own Synthetic marine decking business. This is an intensive course which covers everything you will need to know from various methods of pattern making and producing templates where necessary, to designing and fabricating decking panels using various techniques, right the way through to gluing down and edge caulking. For those starting up in business we also touch on sales and marketing techniques, and other relevant subject matter. The course is very thorough and is intended to be an informative, enjoyable day which will cover everything you are likely to come across when fitting decking as a profession. Please bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and Coffee is available free of charge throughout the day.
